Welcome to Project Shift!
Project Shift is an information and resource site, aimed at providing the public with up-to-date information on therianthropy and the therianthropic community. There is plenty of scattered writing on the topic of therianthropy, and plenty of basic ‘What is Therianthropy?’ articles, but thorough resources are uncommon, and Project Shift intends to fill that niche, to help new therians and people interested in therianthropy better understand what it is. We are both an ongoing project and a community effort, and we welcome new ideas and contributions.
The primary focus of Project Shift is its articles. Find information about therianthropy and what it is, commonly used terminology, the therianthropic community, and other frequently asked questions.

4. Contribute
Project Shift is an ongoing project, always evolving and growing as both therianthropy and the therian community do as well. We’re always looking for feedback and suggestions on how to improve, as well as new articles. If you’re intereted in contributing, please stop by our Development Community, or alternatively, drop a note on our topic at the Werelist Forums.
*Updates*
- March 13, 2013: Links added–Khamaseen’s Feral Limbo site, the Therianthropy Research Group site, and a video and transcript link to Trevor Addie’s “Therianthropy: A State of Being” lecture (added under Additional Writings)
- September 30, 2012: 3 articles added under Introspection (“Coping Ideas for the Aquatics,” “Christian Therianthropy,” & “How to Find Your Species“). Added numerous new links to the Resources page. New page, ‘Additional Writings’ added to link to off-site articles.
- May 21, 2011: Added 5 new articles (‘Therian Elitism‘, ‘Therian 101‘, ‘Daemonism, Therianthropy, & Multiplicity‘, ‘Otherkin & Therian Theories of Cause or Origin‘, and ‘Therianthropy as a Result Rather than a Process‘). Resources/Links page has been updated to fix broken links and add a site or two. The site design has also been drastically changed as of April this year and we are primarily using WordPress now for adding/editing content. Further tweaking to the design and layout is also intended, but should be only minor changes. Currently, the Spanish version of the site is on the old layout and will eventually be updated to this layout and the new content added; sorry for the wait in the meantime.
